The article “Amazon buys iRobot Roomba Vacuum Maker – Dangerous Acquisition” shows how Amazon is gathering greater powers to spy on people and know everything about people’s private lives. This refers to those who have such a cleaning robot or other gadgets to make their homes into Smart Homes. This has already been predicted in George Orwell’s book 1948, or maybe it was a preparation for people for when it did take place…
What is at the root of us selling our private information for convenience sake? God has told us that this is all coming in Revelation 13, which is fulfilling right before our eyes! Slowly Big Brother is creating eyes into all we are and have so that they can soon control all that we buy and sell. This is so because we are dependent on man for our needs and wants, instead of our Creator. Only those who became dependent on God alone will have the power to break the slavery that is being built around each one of us.
Who is Big Brother? Well, it is people just like us who, just like us, want to be in control. Why control? This is because of the old lie, “Ye shall be like gods.” Genesis 3:5. It is man’s pursuit to be in control like God is. Well, the difference is that He is the Creator, He is all knowing, all powerful and all present. “God is love,” which means that all that He is, thinks and does is based on love. Man on the other side is born in sin (Psalm 51:5), and he is selfish at best. Man therefore cannot be in control, but he thinks he can and develops technology to accomplish a certain idea of control upon others. Man’s control means ruin for other beings, for he does it only for his benefit. The Creator, on the other hand, controls things only for our good. What makes the difference? A basic principle: man has needs and God does not. Because man has needs, both physical and spiritual, he will always seek and by any means to fulfill them. This makes him selfish, a murderer, lier, thief, adulterer, etc. God has no needs at all. He created everything and if He would ever need something He would create His need. Man has no such power, but is dependent on things outside of himself to survive. Because God has no needs He cannot be selfish. All He does is to give to others all that He created them to need.
Thus it is safe to be under the control of God, but it is absolute cruelty, tyranny and a catastrophe to be under the control of man. The only way we can escape the prophecy of Revelation 13 of the most cruel tyranny to ever take place in the history of humanity is to become completely dependent and under the control of the Creator God.
